Hilly Fields Parkrun review

Dates visited Jan 1 & Aug 18 2018

Facilities

Pistachios Café is in high demand, with public WCs at the back.

Bag drop?

By railings near race briefing area

Course profile/ features

As you might guess from the name, very hilly-175 feet above sea level.
From the top of hill by the café, the course drops sharply away, all the way down to the lowest part of the park on the East side. After a flat section there’s another hill and after 1 mile the loop goes in a different route to the south east before returning to the flat section
On my most recent visit in August, the course had changed, in this case following the park perimeter by Vicars Hill (summer course?)

Notes

A challenging course, so worth considering for inclusion in your programme if training for a 10k, half or full marathon; or just to test your fitness.
There's a stone circle near the Adelaide Avenue entrance. It's of a more recent vintage than Stonehenge, beinng created for the MIllenium
